In one paragraph. The Fidere app shows you your own clinical record: your blood results, your prescriptions, your plan, your appointments and your invoices. It is a window onto the record your clinic already keeps about you. We do not sell your information, we do not advertise to you, and there is no tracking or analytics of any kind inside this app.
Two companies are involved and they have different roles.
| Who | Role | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Fidere Clinic (Pty) Ltd | Your clinic. It is the responsible party for your health record under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). It decides what goes into your record and it is the party you have a treatment relationship with. | Registration 2026/526977/07. Registered office 19 Greenwich Grove, Station Road, Rondebosch, Cape Town, 7700, South Africa. |
| Hofud Consulting Limited | The company that publishes this app and runs the platform behind it. It processes your information on your clinic's instructions and for no purpose of its own. | Registration C19166444, Mauritius. 2nd Floor Fast Hub, Notre Dame De La Salette Road, Grand Baie 30517, Riviere du Rempart, Mauritius. |
Everything below already exists in your clinic's record. The app reads it and shows it to you. It does not create a second copy on your phone beyond what is needed to display a screen.
| Category | What it is | Why the app has it |
|---|---|---|
| Who you are | Your name, email address, phone number, date of birth and sex as recorded by your clinic | To identify you and to show you your own record and nobody else's |
| Sign-in | Your password, held only as an irreversible hash, and a session token kept in your phone's secure storage | To let you sign in and stay signed in |
| Blood results | Your laboratory orders, every marker, its value, its unit and the range it is judged against, and any note your clinician released with it | To show you your results once your care team has released them |
| Medicines | Your prescriptions and their lines, dose, route, quantity and status, and medicines your clinic has recorded for you | To show you what you have been prescribed and to let you produce your own script document |
| Allergies | Allergies and reactions recorded for you | To show them to you and to carry them on documents that need them |
| Your plan | Your health review, your pillars, supplements, monitoring items and follow-up dates | To show you what your care team has planned with you |
| Consultations | Summaries your clinician has written and released to you | To show you what was discussed |
| Your answers | The medical history and lifestyle answers you type into the app yourself | To pass them to your care team and to bring them back when you return |
| Appointments | Bookings and booking requests | To show you what is booked and to let you ask for a time |
| Money | Your invoices, what they are for, and whether they are paid | To show you what you owe and what you have paid |
| Consents | Which consents you have given, the wording you were shown, and when | So you can read them back and change your mind |
| Who | What they receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase, the database and hosting service behind the platform | Everything listed above, stored encrypted and transmitted over an encrypted connection | It is where your clinic's record is kept |
| Paystack, a licensed payment provider | Only what is needed to take a card payment you choose to make. Your card details are entered on the payment provider's own page and are never seen or stored by the app | To settle an invoice, only if you press pay |
| Your own clinic and its clinicians | Your record, which is theirs already | To care for you |
Your information may be stored or processed outside South Africa, because the platform and its hosting are operated from Mauritius and by international hosting providers. It is protected by the same terms wherever it sits, and it is never made available to anyone outside the list above.
Your clinical record is kept for as long as South African health law requires a treating provider to keep it. That obligation sits with your clinic, not with you or with us, and it is why a health record cannot simply be erased on request. Information that is not part of your clinical record, such as your sign-in details and your app preferences, is removed when your account is closed.
Under POPIA you may:
You can start an account deletion request from inside the app, under More, and you can also ask by email using the address below. We will tell you plainly what can be deleted and what your clinic is required to keep, and why.
This app is for adults. It is not intended for anyone under 18 and no account is created for a child.
Your record is protected so that your session can reach your rows and nobody else's, enforced by the database itself rather than only by the app. Traffic between the app and the platform is encrypted. Your session is held in your phone's own secure storage.
If this notice changes in a way that affects you, the new version is published here with a new version number and date, and you are told inside the app.
